CLAIRE: Some people keep smoking you know because they just need the nicotine. I never did. It just wasn't that hard to give up. People say it's so hard. Or they smoke because it's like a social club at work, passing that lighter. Or they can't calm down. I just couldn't stop carrying around cigarettes. That's my habit. I needed them there in my bag. I have to know where my lighter is.
MICHAEL: But you quit when you met me.
CLAIRE: They always say you never quit.
MICHAEL: It doesn't matter.
CLAIRE: You just take breaks. You can take the longest breaks but then one day you just need to smoke.
MICHAEL: I love you, Claire. Can you hear me? I said, I love you.
